“ Went out of my neighborhood in Galveston (on the bay). Hit some of the reefs that were marked on your Reef Recon file. (Red) reefs that I knew existed, but never could really locate, even with satellite imaging. These fish were mostly caught on the North end of the reefs in less than 2’ of water. It’s to the point now that I’ll literally shut the boat down, and troll up to the edges of the shell and target the points. I don’t always catch, but when I do, I find them STACKED!! I know you’ve heard it 1,000 times, but this program is a GAME CHANGER!!! It’s to the point where I only have to fish within 15-20 mins from the house. I can now go hit certain reefs before work and still be on time at 9 am. Thank you for ALL the time spent on the water to offer such an incredible data for everyday fishermen like myself. No more having to go grind it out looking for the best habitat, I just use Reef Recon!!! ”

“ Love the versatility of the lure. You can cover the entire water column with one lure. It can do what 3 different lures can do without ever switching baits. I highly recommend this bait to anyone who is serious about catching speckled trout or redfish. ”

“ … I even went so far as to tell Tobin his lure was no good, sorry Tobin. Come to find out, it was the Indian not the arrow. I had been fishing it on heavy jig heads like every other soft plastic I use, but Tobin told me it wasn't made for jig heads, but of course I didn't listen. I finally went today and picked up some of the 5/0 swim bait hooks he told me to get and left right after work to try it out. I got to my spot right at dark. On the first cast I could tell the lure was working better with the swim bait hook. By keeping the rod tip down with a simple twitch twitch pause retrieve I was able to make it walk the dog right under the surface. On the second cast, after the first twitch, it disappeared in a big splash of white water. I thought it was a big redfish the way it was fighting, but when I drug it up on the bank it was a big spotted sea trout. Now that I know what to do with it, I'm sure I'll be fishing the TSL more often. Sorry about the blurred pic, but there are some things I prefer to keep secret. ”

“ Cast great while sightcasting big speckled trout and reds; big trout have been reacting to it better than what I was throwing; it’s a no brainer for redfish. ”

Kyle Eskue - Galveston, Tx

“ I really like the weight and durability of the lure.  For a soft plastic it has a real nice weight to it that allows me to cast it extremely far and accurately… similar to what I can cast a conventional top water.  to me it's like the love child of a corky and saltwater assassin, but much more durable than the assassin lures. But most importantly it catches me big fish :)  I have probably caught more big speckled trout in the past year than in the past 10 year combined, and my tackle box is very simple now... Trout support lures and top waters. So yea, I would say that I am a fan ;). ”

“ These lures cast extremely well with a 4/0 wide gap worm or screw lock hook. They go through anything, sea grass, weeds, rocks, and shell. A great situation bait. Covers the entire water column depending on your retrieve. ”

Albert Bedigan - Galveston, Tx

“ It's buoyant with just a 5/0 hook which means that it's slow sinking all the way down. When you cast it it breaks through the wind with ease, and it sinks level, not head first unless you're using a jig head. ”

“ It quickly became the go-to confidence lure for me. I started using it last fall with great success in the back lakes around Port O Connor. A redfish can't let it go by him without hitting it, AND I caught a couple of my best speckled trout on them as well. I feel that the castability of this lure alone will improve a fisherman’s success ”

“ 4th cast and I was “on” with an overslot redfish in 6″ of water over 12″ of solid turtle grass after a blind cast. 10th cast and on again with another redfish in late December in north Florida. I’ve never seen a walk / twitch / jerk bait act like this. I’m a solid 90% topwater redfish hunter for the excitement of seeing the explosion or torpedoes. However redfish are not designed for top feeding. Tobin developed the best lure for redfish in our area and the lure proved itself side by side against my best beat up topwaters throughout the afternoon. Total of 6 redfish for the day with more strikes on the TSL than my other lures combined. Thank you Tobin for this great lure. ”

“ I went out Monday morning, 9 speckled trout, 1 -24.5in, the other 8 were 26in - 29.5in, 3 upper slot redfish, and I also had my line broken by an over 30inch speckled trout. Biggest speckled trout I’ve ever had on. Epic Day on the TSL. ”

“ Tobin, the trout video you made is awesome and for anyone who hasn't seen it I would strongly recommend it. Me and my partner Cory are new to the tournament scene and still have a lot to learn. As soon as we watched this video our big trout ratio went up. All it took were a couple of key things that the video covered. In our last specktacular tourney we followed many of the things that this DVD covered and won. In the two months after I watched it, I have caught more big trout than I have in my whole life. Once again I would recommend this video to anyone that has their sights set on catching big trout ”

“ I went to a seminar last week where several guides were explaining about trout slicks and how to work them; NONE were as detailed as your DVD! The visual aids in your DVD are so much easier to understand than just sitting there listening to someone try to explain it!!! One of the best things about your DVD, is each time you watch it, you get something new you missed before and... The Guide NEVER goes home!!! ”

Bill Melber

“ I received the DVD about a month ago, thanks. I'll be sure to let my friends know of your DVDs. It helped me find and catch a 6lb trout last Sunday. ”

“ I just watched your new DVD 'Finding and Catching Big Speckled Trout' for the third time and was impressed. In my 40+ years of guiding and fishing, i have never seen anything that compares. Not only was this the most informative, but also the most prefessionally done. I highly recommend it to all levels of anglers. It should be required viewing for all guides and aspiring young guides. I cannot wait to get my hands on the lext one. ”

Kirk Massey

“ I learned more in the first 15 minutes of this DVD, than I have picked up in my 20+ years of reading articles and watching weekend shows. The material was well organized, clearly illustrated, and gave me techniques to find productive water. No more 'drifting' and 'hoping' for me. Thanks Tobin, I wish you all the best. ”

“ Finished watching mine up last night. I'm really into google earth and this thing does a great job of showing you what to look for. Anther knock out Tobin. I believe you just knocked years off the learning curve. Just like your big trout video you did a excellent job of covering material. I like the blending of the animations with the on water instruction and a few fishing clips. ”

“ Went out on Monday in the face of 35mph winds. Water was a chocolate mess. I took two buddies out and we were armed and ready for some serious wading. After our first wade yielded a couple trout, one being a nice 21", we headed into a back bay to get out of the gusts. I drove towards the west/nw shoreline and anchored. I wanted to wade towards the windward shoreline on the incoming tide. Conditoons were poor but I knew reds had to be in there, according to the dvds. My buddy caught his personal best 29" 9lb redfish! He was super pumped...still is! Caught it on a dark soft plastic (Kelley Wiggler Ball Tail Shad). Thanks again for the dvd's! Ready for Deep Water Reds! ”

“ Hey Tobin my DVDs arrived yesterday while I was out and about. As soon as I got home I popped in the redfish DVD and watched it even though I had an 0530 departure to chase reds in the back lakes. The info was a amazing I learned new things and it gave me confidence in the things I already knew. I caught three fish from 21-23 out of the same 25" by 15" pocket in the shore. Before your video I would have caught the first one and moved on. Thanks for the limit man! I ended the hour long fish with 4 slots and one 19" throw back. Hooked the first 20" into my wade and all I could say is what $40... Money well spent! Thanks for the effort to better my fishing ”

“ Hey y'all just wanted to share my experience with y'all, I'm still giddy over this fat girl! Caught the fish in East Galveston Bay. The Big Trout DVD has helped me improve and know what to look for. They are all very informative and you will want to buy more than one. “ So, we went out this morning. Headed a spoil bar. We immediately noticed some slicks so we moved upwind and jumped out to wade. We picked up about a dozen small trout as we moved downwind. We were fishin 3 1/2 ft of water throwing kelley wigglers plastics. I cast out and felt the familiar sharp tap. Set the hook and felt some nice weight to it. After a couple strong runs, I landed her. My personal best 28" 6lbs. Trout Support baby!! Thanks Tobin! ”

“ PB 26in trout working active bait and grass pockets. The DVD really showed how to READ active bait. Very easy to grasp. Just before that big girl, we hooked onto 15+ trout. The DVD really helped me understand how to locate fish and weed out unproductive waters. ”

“ We made it to the area that I found using what you instructed us to look for; got there pre-dawn, and started wading; bait was everywhere, and was jumping like crazy. I saw every single variation of bait that your DVD's showed….very cool to see it on the DVD and then to actually see it in real life. I hadn't caught a saltwater fish on top water yet, mostly due to I never had the confidence to throw one vs throwing a paddle tail. So I tied on a Super Spook Jr... 5 Min after getting in the water I had a blow up the looked like a grenade. I went to set the hook and the line broke immediately! I tied on my last Spook Jr and kept fishing. Waded another 30 yds and had another blow up. Fish missed the bait, I paused it and twitched slightly and the fish hit and missed it again. I paused it again and then twitched and this time the trout came out of the water like a scud missile, and while it was in the air with my spook in its mouth, I set the hook. This was definitely a trout over 25", but I fought it too hard and tore the mouth after a 30 second fight. Extremely bummed, I kept on. 30 yards later another fish hammered the spook, and I got a good hookset on it. Fought it tenderly for a while before netting it. Brought it in to weight for the STAR tournament, otherwise would have released here, but at 28", fish went 7.1#. This was my first saltwater top water fish, and is my second longest lifetime trout (#1 being a 29" I caught last June in Corpus), but was heavier than that fish…so this is the heaviest trout I have ever caught!!! J I want to say that I started bay fishing in May of 2010. Last summer was a big learning time for me, and while I got pretty good at finding and catching Red's, trout were always a fish I caught just by chance. This year was different. I upgraded to a good boat, invested in good gear, and watched both of your DVD's. Since watching your DVD's, my daily average of trout has gone WAY up, and I have had a 27" and a 28" in my hands already in 2011. Keep up the great work! ”

“ By watching the videos and using some of the tactics that are talked about in the series fishing deep water schools really helped us identify deep water fish and structures. Watching the video helped us key in on signs of bait to indicate what type of lures to use to catch a record weight of 18.45lbs. Highly recommended to purchase the 4 set of DVD's because it has made us better fishermen. ”

“ I ordered the Big Trout video a year ago. I considered myself a fairly experienced angler at the time but was interested in seeing what all the hype was about. As I watched the video I noticed most of the tactics were ones I already used on a regular basis, but the video went so in depth with the trophy trout anglers methods that it gave me new ways to apply the knowledge I already had. It touched on all the basics of big trout fishing for beginners but it also goes into depth to help experienced anglers pick up some new things to try. The big trout pictured is a perfect example of what happens when all the info from the video is applied. I decided where to go using a similar decision process discussed in the video. Then tracked down productive areas by reading the water in ways that are discussed in the video, and I put the final piece of the puzzle together by making a good presentation for the conditions. The end result was this big trout and many more just from that one outing. The video goes over the whole process that goes into catching big trout and is truly one of the best resources for a big trout angler. ”

“ Tobin, my buddies, Taylor Gaines, Tim Fluitt, and I had never fished Port Mansfield in the winter before and never truly fished for trophy speckled trout on purpose. Tim and I had watched your Big Speckled Trout DVD multiple times before that trip, and after some thought we came up with a few spots and a game plan that we thought would give us the highest percentage of catching big trout based on the DVD. And as you can see, we caught 2 trout of a lifetime plus numerous heavy trout over 25 inches. The one with the guy in the red jacket is Taylor, and that trout went a little over 30' and just a touch under 10lbs. The second one with the guy covered up in the buff is Tim, and his speckled trout went 29' and little over 9 lbs. Both of those trout were caught within about 30 minutes on corkies which your Big Speckled Trout DVD covered very well. So thank you for that. ”

“ I ordered your Finding Trophy Trout video a few months back and loved it so i had to order this one too (Limits). I learned a lot about the habits and nature of big specks by first watching the video and using it as a foundation to compare to the tactics i have been taught in the past about speckled trout. It has also given me more confidence on my decisions and on what and where to fish, and in return has made me a more persistent and patient fisherman who catches more big trout. After watching your trophy trout video i have drastically increased my numbers of larger trout i catch. I have also caught a new personal best spotted sea trout and with some of your tips helped 3 of my other fishing buddies catch theirs while fishing with me. “ Yeah, by now all you you know that Tobin makes a great informative DVD, but what you may not have thought about is how much of the info shared works in other places besides Tx. I have been using the info from the Trophy Trout video to locate trout here in Panama city Florida, which is not really a place known for trophy trout. Well I have found the info incredibly helpful in finding bigger trout and understanding what I should be throwing. Heck, if even applies to fly fishing. Though a 25" trout isn't really a trophy in most places, it is a good un here. On a topwater fly to top it off!!!! Thanks Tobin for putting this stuff together. ”

“ Much like any fisherman who discovers something that WORKS and gives you a clear advantage, I have mixed feelings about sharing it with others... but I've learned the great majority of what I know from others, many of whom are here on this site, and for that reason I don't have a problem sharing something which has helped me immensely. First let me say that I'm in no way affiliated with the product I'm endorsing, I receive no benefit outside of the gratification of helping others. If you want to catch bigger gator trout, and we're talking about the biggest trout in any bay system, you need to check this out. I'm extremely skeptical of these types of learning tools, but Tobin (the creator) really went out of his way to create something extremely thorough & in-depth that will push a beginner years ahead of the learning curve and an experienced angler over the top. It tells you where the fish will be, how to find them, what to use and in what conditions. I can't exaggerate how thorough this video is, I've literally watched it 3-4 times and pickup something new each time. I can only speak for the 'Big trout' video, as that's the one I bought. Goodluck out there, if you want to catch some big gators and wonder how the pros do it consistently, this is worth the $$$ all day long. Last but not least, 100% money back guarantee if you don't learn anything. ”

“ Thanks for the information in the DVD. I caught my personal best( 28" 8.5 lbs ) by locating a pot hole on low tide in a small bay along the river shore. I was fishing a Z-Man scented paddlerz on a 1/8 oz jig head. ”
